keep it cool this weekend! Fullerton Opens Colling Center at Community Center
In response to continued high temperatures that are expected to reach over 100 degrees in the coming days, the City of Fullerton has designated the Community Center as a "Cooling Center."
The “Cooling Center” will be activated on Sunday, June 19 and Monday, June 20 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and will be available to all residents.
The Fullerton Community Center is located at 340 W. Commonwealth Avenue across the street from Fullerton City Hall.

It’s been four years since the university “threw the switch” for a photovoltaic installation on the rooftops of the Clayes Performing Arts Center, the Kinesiology and Health Science Building and the Eastside Parking Structure.
That 1.16 megawatt installation produces electricity equivalent to eliminating 5,180 passenger vehicles from the road annually and will do so over the next 25 years, saving the campus approximately $9 million in utility savings, said Willem Van der Pol, interim associate vice president for facilities planning and management. Schools to Provide Meals Through the Summer

Every year when the school year ends, children who rely on school meals are at serious risk of going hungry. Hunger doesn’t take a vacation. This is where the Summer Feeding Program comes in and helps bridge the hunger gap. Free lunch will be available to all children, age 18 and under, at three of our school sites. No application, enrollment, or reservations required. Lunch will consist of a tasty entrée along with fresh summer produce. The Seamless Summer Feeding Program operates five days a week, Monday through Friday - June 6 through July 1, 2016, at Pacific Drive Elementary, 1501 W. Valencia Drive. Lunch will be served from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The Seamless Summer Feeding Program operates four days a week, Monday through Thursday - June 13 through July 7, 2016, at Richman Elementary, 700 S. Richman Ave. where lunch will be served from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m., and at Valencia Park Elementary, 3441 W.
